The Pixel 2 Has a New Bug and It's Getting Annoying Now
Google'southward latest flagship smartphones aren't really proving to be the masterpiece blend of engineering science, hardware and pattern that I was expecting them to be. After using the original Pixel terminal yr, I was convinced that Google was heading in a dandy direction with its phones (the deadening industrial design aside).
This time, while Google fixed most of my pattern concerns with the Pixel ii, the company seems to accept dropped the ball on multiple occasions when it comes to software on the device.
Yeah, I'm talking about the plethora of bugs that take plagued the smartphone ever since it was first launched. The phone has had a grainy display, washed out colours, weird clicking sounds, and a lot of other issues over the last few months, and Big Thousand has been 'fixing' them one subsequently the other.
So imagine my frustration when one of my colleagues, Sharun, spotted however another issues with his Pixel 2.
Turns out, if you have 'Show taps' enabled in Developer Options on your Pixel 2 smartphone, anytime you place your fingers on your telephone screen when the screen is on, and then lock the phone, the e'er on display shows the registered locations of the taps on the screen besides. Something like this:
True, well-nigh people probably don't enable 'Show taps' on their phones (I only know Sharun to be doing that) then this bug will probably non fifty-fifty exist noticed past well-nigh people. That, however, doesn't mean that it's not a issues, and it certainly is abrasive.
Nosotros've reached out to Google for a statement on this and we'll update this commodity if we hear from them.
As of now, if y'all're i of the few people who enable 'Show taps' on their phones, attempt to proceed it off until Google fixes this event. As with most things Google, I'1000 assuming the company will push out a prepare for this in the near futurity, then stay tuned.
